Simon Gratz High School has partnered with Harrisburg University and NuPaths to offer the Medical Administrative Assistant program at Simon Gratz High School for select students.
Medical Administrative Assistant Program at Simon Gratz High School
5 IT Certifications | up to 9 college credits
The program will run throughout the school year with classes each day. You'll complete 3 courses and a project to learn the skills to become a Medical Administrative Assistant. You'll earn up to 5 certifications and 9 college credits as well as credits toward high school graduation. Career services support is provided for those who want to enter the workforce or an apprenticeship after graduating high school.

Eligible Students and Schools: Seniors and juniors at Simon Gratz High School
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 10:54 AM - 12:36 PM for the 2025-2026 school year
Medical Administrative Assistants focus more on administrative tasks, including scheduling patient appointments, updating and filing patient records, and performing billing and medical coding.
