Eighteen Seniors at Cumberland Valley High School and two students from Carlisle High School are enrolled in NuPaths Technical and Security Assistant program at Cumberland Valley HS during the 2018-19 school year. The students have the the opportunity to earn up to six IT certifications from CompTIA and Microsoft.

On October 12, 2018 the students took their first IT certification exam. The CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification exam is part of the Foundations in Information Technology course in the program. Ninety-five percent of the students passed the certification exam and now hold the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification credential. In addition, all the students passed the course and will receive two college credits from Harrisburg University.

NuPaths, co-founded by Harrisburg University, prepares students to perform specific entry level roles in Information Technology (IT) for well paying and in-demand jobs.
