Earn IT certifications and college credits while in high school!  Full tuition scholarships are available for those who qualify.

NuPaths prepares students to perform specific entry-level roles in Information Technology (IT) for well-paying and in-demand jobs. Students can attain industry certifications, and access advanced coursework to prepare for a career in IT.

Students from the following high schools in northwest PA are eligible for a full tuition scholarship:  Brookville, Clarion, Clarion-Limestone, Conneaut, Cranberry, DuBois, Fairview, Forest Area, Fort LeBoeuf, Franklin Area, Girard, Harborcreek, Keystone, North Clarion, Northwestern, Oil City, Redbank Valley, Titusville, Valley Grove, Venango Technology Center, and Warren.

FOUNDATIONS IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Earn the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification & 2 College Credits

The course focuses on the basics of computer hardware, software, mobile computing, networking, troubleshooting, and emerging technologies. A fundamental understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, computer application software, networking technologies and protocols, web browsers, identifying security risks, troubleshooting errors, and system maintenance is gained.

Course Schedule:

  • 1 night a week online in Zoom from 6-8 PM
  • 2 Saturdays: Week 1 and Week 4 for 6 hours at the Innovation Institute at Franklin in Franklin, PA.

FUNDAMENTALS OF PRODUCTIVITY SOFTWARE
Earn the MOS: Microsoft Excel and MOS: Microsoft Outlook certifications & 3 College Credits

The course develops the skills to create workbooks and spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel for organizing and analyzing data. Students learn to use formatting, formulas, charts and various data tools for data management. Microsoft Outlook is also explored as a communication and productivity tool. Students learn to manage messages, schedules, contacts, groups and lists in the Outlook environment. Skills with the productivity tools are developed within the context of personal productivity and providing training and support to other users.
