You could be part of managing a company's central IT nervous system. As a network technician you will set-up the networks, protect them from cyber attacks and troubleshoot computer and network systems.
In a world dependent on communication via computer networks, Network Technicians play a vital role. They install, maintain and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs) and data communication equipment. The Network Technician’s job also includes testing and configuring operating systems, repairing hardware, performing preventive maintenance and applying security measures to ensure that customer needs are met. As communication and collaboration across networks continues to grow, companies rely on network technicians to support the critical business applications that keep their organizations running effectively.

Credits provided by Harrisburg University (HU) and are transferable to HU. Credits are eligible for transfer to other colleges and universities, but transfer credits accepted are at the sole discretion of the receiving institution.

The course focuses on the basics of computer hardware, software, mobile computing, networking, troubleshooting, and emerging technologies.
Managing cloud services and storage with Microsoft Azure, along with monitoring and troubleshooting services is explored, along with the principles of installing, building, repairing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop, laptop, and server computers.
