During this course you will get a chance to learn if a career in technology is for you. You will develop technology and IT skills that will last you a lifetime, earn an industry certification, and earn college credits. 
Tuition free for juniors and sophomores at Big Spring, Boiling Springs, Carlisle, Central Dauphin, Central Dauphin East, Cumberland Valley, Harrisburg, and Susquehanna Township high schools

Course Overview

The course focuses on the basics of computer hardware, software, mobile computing, networking, troubleshooting, and emerging technologies. 

Students learn about configuring operating systems, network configuration, and troubleshooting. You'll gain a fundamental understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, applications, networking technologies, web browsers, security risks, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. 

  • Use a PC simulator game to build a virtual PC
  • Respond to help desk scenarios in a real ticketing system
  • Receive personalized content and guided feedback in an adaptive training tool

The course also includes an exploration of cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing and virtualization.
