Last week, Manheim Township School District (MTSD) hosted an open house for a new program at the high school in collaboration with NuPaths and Harrisburg University. The NuPaths program provides high school students a clear path to industry-recognized IT certifications and in-demand careers.
There are twenty students enrolled in the Digital Marketing Assistant program at MTSD. The students were selected from a lottery, with forty interested students vying for the twenty spots. The program will allow students to earn IT certifications needed to pursue entry-level careers in the field of digital marketing. Students will also earn college credits through Harrisburg University.
This workforce development program provides an opportunity for high school students to earn up to six industry certifications from Adobe and Google, while simultaneously earning high school elective credits and college credits. Students will develop marketable and employable skills in each course.
Preparing students for all post-secondary options; whether training, degree education, or the workforce is important to individual success and a healthy economy. College alternatives are providing new options for career success by bringing stakeholders from school districts, business and government together to expand pathways to student success for every student.
